Who Are We?

About Callaway
Callaway is a 13 year old Beagle. He was the family dog growing up. When I moved out of the house I took him with me.
He is the typical hound. Always scavenging for food, howls until he can’t breathe, and is extremely stubborn.
Over the years, there have been several behaviors we have worked on including extreme separation anxiety and reactivity on walks (pulling and barking).
With age, he has also developed a few health conditions: Heart Disease, Kidney Disease, and several bouts of skin cancer. None of which have slowed him down!
Callaway has helped me realize how important knowledge is when it comes to training, enrichment, and general dog knowledge. To help prevent others from facing some of the challenges I have, I decided to share my knowledge.
Callaway was my inspiration for creating Cruisin’ Hounds.

About Me
My name is Tabby. Growing up, I enjoyed being outdoors and around animals. Animals don’t care what you look like, they only care about what’s inside your heart.
I decided to do everything I could to help animals. I went to college and got a degree in Veterinary Technology.
After graduation, I worked at the Animal Poison Control Center for 2.5 years taking calls on animal toxicities and helping callers in stressful situations. I quickly realized how little dog owners knew about toxicities and how to deal with them.
I started a pet sitting business in 2021 and have cared for hundreds of pets over the years and still do to this day.
In order to help pet owners bridge the knowledge gap and improve the lives of their furry friends, Cruisin’ Hounds was created.
